Tile construction for water flow
The present invention relates to the field of construction and more particularly to the field of elements for the realization of covering surfaces such as tiles.
Tiles are conventionally used in constructions for the surface covering of built structures. The tiles are generally arranged so as to have an inclination to provide protection against inclement weather while allowing a flow of precipitation.
In the context of certain particular constructions, the positioning of the tiles can present extreme inclinations. Thus, in the context of shingle covering surfaces, the tiles are arranged in an almost vertical plane. Conversely, there are some surfaces where the overlap is operated by tiles arranged with a low slope inclination. In this type of construction, the decrease of the slope of the tiles impacts the qualities of run-off on their surfaces. Moreover, foreign objects, such as leaves or branches, can be deposited on the surface of the tile without being evacuated due to a too low slope of the tile. By cluttering the surface of the tile, these foreign bodies can reduce or even prevent the flow of precipitation. Precipitation is then inclined to stagnate on the surface of the tiles. This stagnation of water generally leads to the formation of deposits of organic substances or waste, but is also likely to lead to an acceleration of aging of the tiles.
The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages by proposing the realization of a tile capable of limiting the stagnation of precipitation on its surface by optimizing their flow even during positioning with a low slope inclination. The invention thus relates to a construction characterized in that it comprises at least one tile characterized in that it comprises a substantially flat structure having: - an inner surface in contact with a frame, and - an outer surface, realizing a length and a width, the outer surface comprising at least one water flow surface formed by at least one groove in the thickness of the tile and oriented along the axis of the length of the tile, this tile being arranged in a plane having an inclination of between 10 ° and 90 ° with respect to a horizontal plane. The invention will be better understood, thanks to the following description, which refers to a preferred embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, and explained with reference to the accompanying diagrammatic drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a schematic representation of a first example of tile according to the invention, - Figure 2 is a schematic representation of a second example of tile according to the invention, - Figure 3 is a schematic representation of a third example of tile according to the invention.
The present invention relates to a construction characterized in that it comprises at least one tile 1 characterized in that it comprises a substantially planar structure having: - an inner surface 2a in contact with a frame, and - an outer surface 2b, producing a length and a width, the outer surface 2b comprising at least one water flow surface 3 formed by at least one groove 4 in the thickness of the tile 1 and oriented along the axis of the length of the tile 1, this tile 1 being disposed in a plane having an inclination of between 10 ° and 90 ° relative to a horizontal plane.
The realization of a groove 4 in the thickness of the tile 1 makes it possible to produce a tile 1 whose outer surface 2b has two levels. A first high level which corresponds to the portion of the outer surface 2b which is not made by the flow surface 3 and a second low level which corresponds to the portion of the flow surface 3 as such. In this document, the denomination "low" refers to the shape of the groove 4 in the thickness of the tile 1 which positions the recessed flow surface 3 relative to the remainder of the outer surface 2b.
The present of a groove 4 on the outer surface 2b of the tile makes it possible to impose a direction of runoff on the surface 3 of the tile 1 to join a channel formed by the groove 4. The grouping at the surface 3 of the flow of at least a portion of the precipitation on the outer surface 2b of the tile 1 makes it possible to take advantage of the surface tension of the water to collect several drops of water for a single larger drop. This larger drop then has, especially thanks to its volume, physical properties which facilitates its runoff along a slope of reduced inclination.
Moreover, the groove 4 allows a relief on the outer surface 2b of the tile 1, so that the difference in level allows a precipitation flow even when foreign bodies such as leaves or branches are deposited on the surface 2b of the tile 1. Indeed, the high level of the outer surface 2b of the tile 1 on which the foreign body rests keeps the body away from the low level of the groove 4 which forms a flow channel 3. The flow surface 3 of this channel makes it possible to take advantage of the inclination of the tile 1 to thus operate a runoff of precipitation under the foreign body likely to hinder the runoff, that is to say between at least a portion of the surface of the tile 1 and the foreign body.
According to a construction feature, the tile 1 is characterized in that the at least one groove 4 in the thickness of the tile 1 comprises a constant depth over a portion greater than half of its length. This feature makes it possible to maintain, at the level of the water flow portion 3, a homogeneity of the inclination or profile with the rest of the surface of the external surface 2b of the tile 1.
According to another construction feature, the tile 1 is characterized in that the water flow surface 3 corresponds to a surface comprised between a quarter and a half of the total external surface 2b. This arrangement makes it possible to obtain a larger flow area. The increase of this flow surface 3 can be obtained in particular by one or more different grooves 4 disposed on the outer surface 2b of the tile.
Also, according to another feature of construction, the tile 1 is characterized in that the water flow surface 3 is formed by at least two grooves 4 in the thickness of the tile 1, arranged in parallel and distributed manner. homogeneously on the outer surface 2b of the tile 1.
According to a non-limiting specificity of this feature, the flow surface is formed by at least four grooves 4.
According to another feature of the tile 1 of the invention, at least two grooves 4 have identical dimensions. The presence of grooves 4 with similar or identical characteristics makes it possible to homogenize the precipitation runoff on the different parts of the outer surface 2b of the tile 1.
According to another construction feature, the depth of the grooves 4 is between 0.3 cm and 1.5 cm. However, it should be considered that the depth of the grooves is a function of the thickness of the tile 1. The thickness of the tile 1 below the groove must be sufficient to ensure minimum mechanical strength.
According to another particular feature of construction, the tile 1 is characterized in that at least one groove 4 in the thickness of the tile 1 comprises an end 5 which opens at an edge of the tile 1. According to a preferred construction this end 5 is disposed at the lowest edge of the tile 1, so that precipitation runoff can be removed from the tile 1 taking advantage of the gravity.
According to another feature of construction of the tile 1, at least one groove 4 has a rectilinear shape over at least a portion of its length. This rectilinear shape makes it possible to impose a direction for the evacuation of precipitations. This rectilinear arrangement also limits the presence of convolutions in the flow that affect the speed and quality of runoff and precipitation discharge.
According to a specificity, the construction is characterized in that it comprises at least one tile according to the invention disposed in a plane having an inclination of between 10 ° and 90 ° with respect to a horizontal plane. However, the tile 1 of the invention could also be installed with an inclination of less than 10 °, provided that this lower inclination does not prevent precipitation gravity runoff on the tile 1.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are possible, particularly from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
